The Black Forest and Alsace-Lorraine

When Easter weekend came, warm and sunny and with 5 full days off from school, I set out with a motley group of Chinese, Americans, and Koreans to explore the legendary Black Forest of Germany, Basel Switzerland, and the adjoining French region of Alsace-Lorraine.

The bad news is, I spent most of the trip in an allergy-and-allergy-medicine induced haze.

The good news is, it was a beautiful, beautiful haze.

The Black Forest is basically the leafy-green heart of Stereotypical Germany, and Alsace-Lorraine is simply the most perfect, most picturesque conglomerate of fairy-tale villages I’ve ever seen.

Please enjoy…
